School Health Advisory Committee
(SHAC)

SMSD's SHAC meets four times a year:  September, November, February, and April.  For information to be involved in this committee, contact Jason Edwards (281-281-9289).  Topics covered at previous SHAC meetings include:

Band Boosters provide chaperones for events; provide refreshments at events; support acquiring clinicians and accompanists; provide assistance with instrument repairs, cleaning, and purchases; and celebrates student accomplishments with parties, awards, and college scholarships.

PROJECT GRADUATION
-
The primary goal of Project Graduation is to offer a substance-free night of celebration following graduation.  A group of parents begin fund-raising efforts in the summer prior to graduation and continue throughout the school year.  With the support of local businesses and organizations, parents, and committee members, our seniors enjoy an all-night lock-in celebration with various games, food, and activities.
