SMSD Achieves Superior Achievement in Finance
At the October 2008 monthly meeting and public hearing, the Stafford Municipal School District Board of Trustees gladly accepted a report from Business Manager Lucas Janda declaring SMSD had earned a Superior Achievement Rating from the Texas Education Agency in their financial accountability system. For the sixth consecutive year, SMSD was given the highest rating under TEA's Schools Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST).
The rating system assigned one of four ratings, with the highest being Superior Achivement. The maximum score achievable is 85 for 24 indicators; SMSD achieved a perfect 85.

Special Education Do you suspect that your child may have a learning, language, or developmental delay? If your child is in kindergarten through grade 12 you may want to contact the educational Diagnostician or Speech Pathologist at your local school campus to get more information about Special Education.
