University Scholastic League
Stafford Intermediate students will be participating in this year's University Scholastic League. The UIL academic meet will be held on January 16th at Needville Elementary in Needville, Texas. UIL is a competition comprised of twenty different categories. The categories are made up of a set of specific academic skills such as mental math; listening skills; dictionary skills; maps, graphs, and charts; and oral reading performances. Before students were selected to compete at Needville, they had to demonstrate the ability to perform well on a similar exam given at the meet. With all 20 teams now in place, participants will meet on a regular basis with their coaches to prepare for competition. Stafford Intermediate staff and students will be cheering for all competitors as they bring home the GOLD!
