Bond Project Schedule Summary

Est Completion Date - May 2007
The renovation of the central Plant for Primary, Elementary, Middle, and High Schools is currently underway. It involves all heating, ventilation, cooling (HVAC) and related electrical equipment within the central plant and related contracted labor costs.

Proposition 1 passed with 66.15% of Fort Bend and Harris County votes.
Proposition 2 passed with 75.13% of Fort Bend and Harris county votes.
SMSD BOND ELECTION FACTS
A 43-member Facilities Advisory Committee began meeting in February 2005 to identify areas in the district that needed repairs, upgrades, or improvements. The committee, comprised of community members, representation from Stafford City Council, SMSD School Board, SMSD faculty, architects and planning consultants, met on a regular basis to prioritize the issues.
As a result of these meetings, a bond referendum is being presented to Stafford voters on November 7, 2006, in the amount of $15,050,000. This referendum is made up of two propositions.
